Rachel McDowell, originally from Charlotte, NC attended Clemson University where she received her BSN and MUSC where she received her MSN and pediatric nurse practitioner degree. In between programs, Rachel worked at Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte, NC for two years and MUSC Children's Hospital for the past four years. She has a background in pediatric hematology/oncology, and has also cared for bone marrow, kidney, and liver transplant patients. Her focus areas have included mental health awareness and pediatric preventative care. Rachel is board certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board, a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, and Lowcountry Advanced Practice Nurses Association.
Rachel lives in Johns Island with her husband Jeff, son Aidan and their Boston Terrier, Zoey. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, playing guitar, paddle boarding, and going to the beach.
