Dr. Sarah Wenzinger grew up in the Richmond, Virginia area. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia and then continued on to Eastern Virginia Medical School where she was awarded her Medical Doctorate. While in medical school she discovered her love of primary care pediatrics and was delighted to be accepted into the Pediatric Primary Care Residency Program at the Medical University of South Carolina. In addition to providing the usual training in inpatient pediatrics, this residency program allowed Dr. Wenzinger the opportunity for further instruction and experience focused specifically on primary care pediatrics. She is thankful for the chance to work with children and their families and seeks to provide them with comprehensive, compassionate, and evidence-based care.
When not at work, Dr. Wenzinger likes to kayak, read, and spend time with her wonderful husband Chris.
