Dr. Huncik grew up in East Tennessee, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology Summa Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1997. She attended medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis, TN where she earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 2002. After completing her pediatric residency training at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in 2005, Dr. Huncik became the Medical Director of the MUSC Medically Fragile Children's Program (MFCP), a collaboration between Coastal Pediatrics, Medicaid, and MUSC. After MFCP closed in March of 2009, Dr. Huncik joined CPA full-time. She splits her time working between the West Ashley and James Island offices. Dr. Huncik is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She enjoys all aspects of pediatric care, and has a special interest in Patient and Family Centered Care, as well as Adoption. Dr. Huncik is also a s Sub-Investigator for Coastal Pediatric Research.
Dr. Huncik is married to Kevin, and they have a 4 year old son. In addition to spenting time with her family, Dr. Huncik enjoys traveling, reading, cooking and going to the beach. The Huncik's are avid Steeler's fans, and enjoy attending the games.
