Dr. Frank Lee grew up in Newberry, SC and completed undergraduate and graduate degrees from Clemson University. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Clinical Pharmacy degrees before completing pediatric residency training at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). He has instructed students and residents at many levels and continues to be an impassioned educator. Dr. Lee founded Children's Medical Associates in 1990 which became Coastal Pediatric Associates in July of 2007. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Lee's medical interests include Down Syndrome, asthma, and the role of omega-3 fatty acids in neurologic development.
Frank is an avid outdoorsman and birder, and has travelled internationally to see birds. He has enjoyed extensive bird-watching in the mountains of western North Carolina. He has two grown children, attends St. Stephens Episcopal Church, and enjoys change bell ringing in the bell towers around Charleston.
